Bar Name: Sunset Lounge Review: In the the shadow of Central Expressway a squat, unassuming building hides a stylish, low-key lounge. Like the name suggests the decor’s color palate mimics the vibrant hues of a setting sun: crimson walls, an orange glowing bar topped with small copper-colored tiles. Brown leather banquets line the walls and divide the center of the smallish room. Outside, a patio screened in from the parking lot by wood slats is an ideal place to chill in warmer weather. A sophisticated crowd gathers for the strong drinks and the late night menu, which includes warm, flat bread pizzas drizzled with olive oil, minimal sauce and an ample selection of fresh toppings such as roma tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Starting Thursday, a live DJ energizes the crowd with a cutting edge selection of deep house and hip-hop. |
