Don’t be put off by the bland face-brick entrance for inside is all white-leather booths, curved corners, corkboard wall and cool, carpeted standing place. It featured in the film Swingers but the main attraction is Marty & Elayne, veterans jazz crooners who’ve played here for decades. Experienced Mexican bar staff, this one’s for the discerning drinker.

admin	The Dresden is a classic LA hotspot. If you’re tired of the glitz and glam of Hollywood and up for a low key night chillin with a bunch of buddies with old LA nostalgia, the Dresden is a good choice. It’ll always remind me of the first cigarette I’ve ever had! Since I’ve moved out of LA, I’ll miss having this place as one of my options.

admin	This place still has it! Whilst many of the other bars made famous by ‘Swingers’ have fallen by the wayside, The Dresden still attracts a super cool hip Hollywood crowd most nights of the week. Resident musicians Marty & Elain, the bar’s signature drink (‘blood & sand’) and the dry wit of the bartenders, no doubt have a lot to do with its continuing popularity. In short, a trip to LA just isn’t complete without a drink at The Dresden Rooms.
